Privacy Policy

Cookbook data

Recipes, ingredients, methods, photos, notes, tags, custom categories and the shopping list are stored locally on your device by default. This information is not sent to the operator’s own servers. No account or registration is required to use the app.

iCloud sync

Sync is optional. If you enable it, cookbook content is stored and transferred using Apple CloudKit in the private database of your iCloud account. Apple handles transfer and storage according to your account settings and its privacy policy. Nightwire Solutions does not operate its own server containing copies of your recipes.

Photos and camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to photograph a recipe, finished dish or individual cooking step. Photo-library selection uses the system picker provided by iOS. Photos added to a recipe become part of its stored content and, when sync is enabled, part of the data stored in iCloud.

Text recognition

Scanning printed or handwritten recipes uses Apple Vision on your device. A source photo selected for scanning is not automatically added to the recipe. Only the text you review and confirm before creating the recipe is saved.

Apple Notes and Reminders

Export to Notes occurs only when you choose it through the iOS system share sheet. To add unchecked shopping items directly to Reminders, the app requests access to reminders. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Your choices

You can delete recipes, photos and other content within the app. Local data can also be removed by deleting the app. Content stored in iCloud is governed by your sync settings and Apple Account. Camera and Reminders permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
